Like a Lady Boss - Grey Hair

Margaret Chaney

I just got off the road after 10 hours in the van with 2 kids under 12, no air conditioning and little sleep. I have been "on the road" for 3.5 weeks now. I was looking at photos of the trip and came across one snapchat I took of myself after camping in the van in TN. My sunglasses are crooked and I can see clearly for the first time that A LOT of my hair has turned grey.... (I haven't had time to find a new hairdresser in GA) . I thought to myself - Oh well. Like a Lady Boss.

Soul sistas, lets catch up. It has been forever... As I resume writing for this blog, I took time to reflect on old posts and look forward to writing from my heart and soul again. "Like A Lady Boss"  - what does it sound like to you? Who is the first lady you think about? For me, these words are a continuing anthem..my mantra in life. So he came home that night resolved to "just do it", and the 23 days of training began the next day.  In addition to the funds...

Strange how you will never be the same after it happens. Then I saw this post by one of my favorite photographers, Carla Coulson, where she accepted a challenge by Elizabeth Gilbert (the author of Eat, Pray Love) to show a photo of "power"  Here is the challenge: “I want you to do me a favor today.I want you to post a picture of yourself taken at...

Lightly My Darling

My New Years Resolution, this year, was inspired by a woman I met during The Ride Festival back in July. She was shopping in my tent and I commented on her tattoo- "Lightly My Darling". She explained that it came from a poem, but that her father used to tell her that when she was upset or sad or heartbroken. I was busy slinging headbands so I couldn't google it right then, but a few hours later, she came back, with the poem pulled up on her phone, and shared it with my sister and I, giving us both teary eyes and chills. ...
