#22 - Giving

Margaret Chaney

Throughout this #30 blog posts before my 30th birthday challenge, I have mentioned a couple of my goals...

One goal in particular is/was to text, call, write, etc someone in my life each day, and let them know how much they mean to me.

It's really not that hard, but sometimes I have to do a couple in one day- because I fall behind- kind of like this blog!  Sometimes I have more fun with my messages- and post fantastic throwback pictures on my FB, so everyone can get a kick out of it.

Here is one of my favorite pictures of my favorite and fabulous siblings, that I came across trying to find a pic for one of my "You are special" posts.  (did you know I am the baby of 6 kids? I brag about them enough, so probably...)

But I have to share a special story- one of my best friends from High School, Haley has a niece, Morgan (um, I think she is around 7 yrs old...) Well Haley's mom bought a scarf from me last month, and so I included a special smaller headband for Miss Morgan, in her package.

Well, Morgan one-upped me. She took that headband and gave it to her classmate and friend who has cancer. Morgan said her friend needed it more...How cool is it, that Morgan knew her friend needed a little special something and wanted to give it to her...

So today I am celebrating the power of GIVING.  Words or gifts, its easy to give something that can truly celebrate how special the people you love are....

I don't think I need to say much more than that, Morgan's act of kindness says it I sent them some matching sets :)

xoxo, Mags
